The secret to beautiful photos? A dreamy light-drenched white-walled studio, of course. But if you're like me and only have access to a dark shadowy corner of the living room, despite all your best lighting intentions, you're reduced to fussing and fixing these images in post-production. But I've finally found a ridiculously simple solution to those dark, dull photos.
Have you heard of Foto RX? Michelle and Tristan, the lovely ladies over at Besotted, created a genius series of 33 Photoshop actions that take your photos from blah to awe with 2 or 3 simple clicks of your mouse. They save me so much time! Prior to using Foto RX, I would tinker around in Photoshop using Levels and Curves to brighten up my images - but the results took forever and weren't nearly as impressive.
As you can see from the before and after shots - there's a dramatic difference! Foto RX allows you to color correct, eliminate shadows, spot lighten certain areas and paint on a whiter background - my favorite tool. If you're an artist or Etsy shop owner, these photo fixes are an absolute must in order to present your products in a clean and modern way. If needed, you can also paint on sharpness, blur the background and add a watermark logo. Watch their video to see how these one-click wonders work.
