RIDE (THIS WAVE) BY SHANNON EILEEN
I normally don't post on Sundays, but I want you to join me on cloud nine. Two days ago, I received word that my song, Ride (This Wave) was licensed on the hit ABC show, REVENGE! If you saw my latest Instagram, you'll know it was written many moons ago. A friend of mine said I was just before my time. Ha, I like the way she thinks! I've had small placements on MTV shows and indie films in the past, but this is prime time network TV. What every songwriter wishes for.
The show airs at 10pm tonight. Season 4, Episode 8. They didn't tell me how long the clip will play or what scene it will accompany. Guess we'll just have to watch and see. Tell me if you catch it, will you? We've got pizza coming, champagne chilling and the DVR set!
For those of you with a passion. For those of you in a competitive industry and you're nearing the end of your rope. Thinking it might be the day to cash in your chips, like I was very close to doing time and time again.... don't. Keep plugging away. Keep going. Push and pitch and then pitch some more. Life is full of surprises and you WILL be rewarded for your dedication and hard work. Now I can say this from experience.
