My freshman-year college roomie is in Portland for a wedding, so I'm driving down from Seattle for a 24-hour rendezvous. It takes about 3.5-hours each way, just long enough to enjoy my alone time with the windows rolled down and the speakers turned up. It's also a great opportunity to catch up on "reading". One time I listened to the entire audio book of Eat, Pray, Love during a solo drive from Los Angeles to Monterrey. Do you ever take road trips by yourself?
