It's hard to believe Thanksgiving is just a few days away. My cousin, who used to host a large extended family celebration, moved out of state. So for the first time, our immediate family will have a smaller, more intimate gathering at my brother's home. The transition is perfect timing, now that little Ayana is here.
We'll be more in tune with my fantasy Thanksgiving from a few years back. Although I'd still like to feast outdoors, Kinfolk style, in the middle of a field or forest. Weather and logistics aside!
