I'm fascinated by how simple it is to make homemade sea salt. Seattle-based Ashley Rodrigez gathered salt water from the Puget Sound, passed it through a cheese cloth, and boiled it down for 4 hours. She bottled some up and gave it to her famous chef-author friend who apparently flipped out it was so good.
