It is time to light our first fire of the season. I feel lucky to have a real wood burning fireplace in my home. But if we didn't, there are so many lovely alternatives for a fireside ambiance, maybe I wouldn't miss it.
Like these glass logs, made by pouring hot molten glass into a cast impressed with a real piece of wood. They light up and flicker with strategically placed votive candles. Don't they look like they're made out of ice?
