Happy Cinco de Mayo, my loves! These dreamy polaroids by Jose Villa bring back fond memories.
While living in LA, I made it over the border more than a few times. There's a lovely private surf community on Rosarito Beach in Baja where a group of us would rent an abode during the summers. We once took a cruise to Encenada, a quaint little fishing village. And my most memorable Mexican adventure was in Mazatlan, where my friend's family owns a timeshare. Every day for lunch we'd order a huge serving of fresh chunky guacamole sprinkled with cojita cheese, washed down with a lime-topped Pacifico. I hope to recreate that tonight.
