A few years ago at a girlfriend's wedding, the table place cards were made out of seed paper, so guests could take them home, plant them, and grow our own wildflowers. I've always loved this idea.
I recently came across this sweet plantable paper flower tutorial and just had to share. You simply cut a spiral out of recyclable paper, brush it thickly with a flour and water paste mixture, sprinkle on the seeds of your choice, let it dry and roll it into a little bud. Attach the bud to a wire stem and they are ready to be planted. A paper flower becomes a real one.
Wouldn't these be a perfect Mother's Day gift?
