I came across Sophie Blackall awhile ago and just fell in love with the concept of her art. She illustrates Craigslist Missed Connections personal ads. They are hilarious, sweet, and sad at the same time. Have you ever browsed them, wondering if anyone has placed an ad looking for you? Have you ever placed one yourself?
Sophie says: "Every day hundreds of strangers reach out to other strangers on the strength of a glance, a smile or a blue hat. Their messages have the lifespan of a butterfly. I'm trying to pin a few of them down."
